Previously, we went for street sales to help the patients of Singapore Cancer Society. In the later few posts, I will post reflections that were well done!

Reflection on Street Sales;

Through the street sales, I have learned many things. I have learned that Singaporeans are very kind and warm-hearted. The street sales let me see the heart of Singaporeans and taught me that not everybody is willing to offer help to the people in the society. These street sales also taught me to be brave and courageous as we needed courage to talk to strangers and persuade them to help the people who are suffering. I have also learned that although we might be leading a normal and luxurious life but it might not be the same for the rest in the society. During the street sales I had also seen many different kinds of people. I remember that there is a middle aged woman who helped us to buy a flower although she did not have money with her but she still used all her remaining change to help us. There was this handicapped man who approached us himself as he felt very touched that we are helping the people and bought a flower from us. We also met this lovely couple who did not believe that we are from cancer society and kept on asking ‘really? really? ” But they still brought a pin each. I am very touched as the lady helped us with all the money she was left with although she might need it more than us. I am really happy to see such helpful people around us. And I am really grateful to those who have helped us along the way as they build up my courage. After this event, I learned to be more appreciative and to help others while I can. I feel really grateful and happy to have been involved in such a significant event. A big thank you to those who bought something to from us as if without them we would not have been able to sell the things off and managed to raised such great amount to help the patients of Singapore Cancer Society. A big thank you to Celina senior who let us be involved in such meaningful event.
